Why this isn't the front page of the news I don't know. This is chaos.

Second suspect in custody.  They're working on IDing him now.

Radio says "potential second suspect out there."

Scanner keeps crashing. It's not meant for a heavy load of 50k+ listeners.

Looks eerily similar to Suspect #2.

Apparently the CNN reporter just impliedly complained about being up in the middle of the night.

"Why couldn't they have killed this cop during prime time?" - The media

Pretty disgusting.  Especially considering that they jumped into the story an hour or so late.  They should just show a live silent feed with the scanner over it and shut the hell up on the commentary.

Unfortunately, baseless speculation is better for their ratings.

I believe they've made it to the hospital. An officer reported to check in from there.

Have the explosives been confirmed beyond eyewitness accounts?

He called one of his uncles asking that he forgive him. It's not a set-up, and the father/aunt are in for a rude awakening.

If it is him and not a false alarm, he's even more of an idiot than I thought he was.  He needed to stay hunkered down wherever he was until tomorrow night at least.

He and his brother had a 48-72 hour window to escape before the FBI plastered their faces up all over the media. They could've driven all the way to California or gotten on a plane to Chechnya. Instead they opted to remain in Boston and attempt another attack. Evidently, these kids weren't too bright. They were damned when they opted to stay and attempt another attack instead of fleeing.

Does anyone have a working link for the scanner?

Can he avoid death penalty if he gives answers? Hopefully he'll be telling everything ASAP.

Massachusetts does not have the death penalty.

He's young and preliminary evidence suggests that his brother may have coerced him into it. He'll keep a steep sentence but I can see him avoiding the death penalty.
