Claims surface that George Zimmerman is also a child molestor

This has as much to do to the case as the marijuana in system allegations over Trayvon.  This witness's comments about racist attitudes of the Zimmerman family should be stressed more by the prosecution.

Well, except we KNOW to a scientific certainty about the marijuana in T's system.  We have no idea if this cousin's years old claims are true. 

Moreover, the evidence we KNOW about could actually have some bearing on what happened that night -- on T's behavior before and after he first saw Z.

He was on Hannity tonight (I didn't watch, but read tweets), and he stated that what happened was "God's Plan" and the he wouldn't change anything that happened that night. Somehow, I don't think it's smart to do an interview when you are up on charges like this.

As a lawyer, I can tell you the lawyer's "rule" on this:  You only allow this kind of free-wheeling interview if (1) you have nothing left to lose or (2) your client is 100% innocent.

Generally, seven year olds whom fool around with six year olds are not labeled "child molesters."
Generally, one would say that Zimmerman stands accused of sexually assaulting another child when he was himself was a child.  I am amazed at the level of intellectual dishonesty Zimmerman's persecutors are willing to stoop to harpoon their white whale.

What about an eighteen year old fooling around with a sixteen year old?

All states that I'm aware of have "Romeo and Juliet" exceptions to their "age of consent" laws.  I doubt there are many states where 18 and 16 year-olds having sexual contact would be unlawful.

If we were to take your querry seriously, what of the couples under 18 whom have sex? Is everything honky dory until one of them reaches their eighteenth birthday and becomes a "child molester?"

Never mind that it was his own cousin and his moves on her were unwelcome.  Allegedly.

But anyway, it's generally your side of the political spectrum that imposes retarded, draconian variations of 'statutory rape' on our nation's youngins, not mine.  (Remember that 17-year old in Georgia who got 10 years for letting his 15-year old girlfriend give him a BJ?)

I fully agree.  IIRC, Texas in 1890 raised the age of consent to 10 ... from seven.  Anyway, now it's 17.  I think it should be lowered (to about 15, give or take one year), but no politician can be seen calling for it to be lowered.  LOL -- well, it would be funny if it weren't such a drain on legal resources.

P.S.  I'm the father of three daughters, age 10 to 20.  And no, I've never been arrested or threatened with arrest for sexual offenses -- well, except this one time when my 17-yo gf and my 17-yo self were caught inflagrante delicto in the back of a car.  They called that "public lewdness" even though most of the "public" wasn't any nearer than about five miles.  We weren't arrested.  Don't tell my kids.
