I stuffed 100 baht into the box at the South Pattya donation tent.  It was only $2.50.

Aren't you a bitter SOB.  Spend your money on sex and ladyboys while your adopted country is experiencing a major disaster. Friggin' cold

Hugh,  name me the best charity over there to donate to. I've got about $20 left from Christmas.

Jake,

Please donate to the American Red Cross. The international Red Cross has had some problems with how their money is distributed from what I understand.

I heard about that.

Red Cross/CARE Australia/World Vision/Oxfam community aid abroad.

Tonight all three of the aussie commercial TV stations are airing a concert in relief of the disaster, which is being simulcast on triple M, a radio station down here in melbourne.

If you go to www.mmmelb.com.au and donate some money, you get to request a sonmg be played today in the lead up to the concert, with all funds going to Oxfam. It's a good way to donate Smiley

Yopu will also be able to listen to your song being played through their 'listen now' launch button near the top of the page which is a live stream.

Also, donating to an american charity isn't bad either, of course, and i'm not sure if you will get the tax deduction over there, but may as well try Smiley

Thanks, I'm stuck between the concert one and CARE Australia.

I think I'll go with CARE
