I know a lot of you are probably LYAO right now.  But, seriously, if my best friend who is very politically-intelligent, plans to run for presidency as well as go into the Naval Reserves and Law, wants to elminate most taxes especially income, and is generally conservative, but could be moderate.  He is also very likable, almost like a Republican Bill Clinton.  I plan on a career in planning/local gov't and based on my posts, you know how I stand.  Do you think we would win??  Would you vote for us (be courteous and fair please)??  Is 45 a good age?  What problems would we face then (the big question)??  Just pondering.

Well, if you know your stuff, don't go looking for the Republican nomination. Republicans and Democrats favor rich people with shady business ties over those who know what they're doing. If you have a good plan for America and you're in touch with the rest of the country, run for a third party nomination. That's where the real leaders are.
