Does 3 mean this is the person we want to eliminate the most?   In that case I would go with:
Bush 3 (no more Bushes please!)
McDonnell 2
Santorum 1
Yeah, thats the way it works. The three candidates with the most votes are eliminated.

McDonnell 8
Perry 5
Pawlenty 4

Bush 4
Santorum 3
Cain 3
Walker 2
Rice 1

Top three eliminated. Bush wins a coin toss against Pawlenty and stays in the race.

Eliminate two boring candidates. Use your own evaluation of (lack of) charisma.

I am going to close round 8 early since all the regular voters have already voted and the result is very clear

Rice 5
Daniels 2
Haley 2

Condi Rice is eliminated.

Round 9

Mike Huckabee

The Huckster is a likable guy in many ways, but like Condi Rice he is de facto retired from politics and even if he did ran he is too SoCon to be electable. So he has to go before the final.

Eliminate Haley

Also, the survivor really should be a SoCon.  Rick Santorum would be a great fit for the current state of the party Tongue  Huckabee would be the most logical remaining contender.
I doubt the rightwingers consider Huckabee to be conservative enough on economics, he has a populist streak. Isn't Haley kinda SoCon too?

Result of round 9

Mike Huckabee 4
Nikki Haley 3

Huckabee eliminated.

Round 10

Brian Sandoval

The governor of Nevada is "The wrong Latino" for the GOP. Not charismatic enough and pro-choice, which will turn off the base. Unlikely to deliver his state.

Result of round 10

Sandoval 4
Haley 3

Brian Sandoval is eliminated

Round 11

Jon Huntsman

Good foreign policy credentials and a fairly moderate guy, but the GOP doesn't need another Mormon multimillionaire who is bad at connecting with the common folks. It will be Romney 2 with increased arrogance.

Result of round 11

Jon Huntsman 4
Nikki Haley 1

Huntsman eliminated

Round 12

Mitch Daniels

A capable manager and his call for truce on social issues may be the way to go.
Daniels would likely be a fine president, but he will be 67 come election day and another old, white man without charisma is not what the GOP needs in 2016.
After losing with McCain and Romney they have to put a minority, female or under 55 (and preferably at least two of those) on top of the ticket to signal change IMO.

Result of round 12

Daniels 3
Haley 2
Christie 1

Mitch Daniels is eliminated

Semifinal

Hitherto I have voted based on a mix of eligibility and competence and should vote Haley based on that (she is clearly the lightweight in this company, in more than one way Wink  ). But since I simply don't like Christie and have difficulty picturing him on the international stage (all though with a good SoS that might be less important) Ill go with him.

So, Chris Christie for elimination.

For those of you that are not regular survivor players: Remember that you vote for a survivor, not to eliminate someone.

Susana Martinez for Survivor!

It's great that this wasn't completely botched by the left. Wink That, or they are in complete agreement on who the best two candidates would likely be.
Yeah, they have been much nicer than you and fab in the Dem survivor.
