No.  Sexual desire is a perfectly natural phenomenon and is nothing to be ashamed of, and barring the case in which you have an intimate relationship with someone you love, masturbation is by far the best way to deal with this feeling.  It causes no harm*, makes you feel good, and lets you focus on other things afterward.  Of course, letting your life revolve around masturbation is obviously a bad thing, but the same can be said for anything.  People can become consumed by the work they do and neglect their family, but does that mean that work is immoral, or just that workoholics really need to re-examine their habits?

*That is, unless you consider the sperm and the egg to be forms of life equal to a human.  Even the "life begins at conception" people don't think this, however, and it'd be pretty weird if you did, considering that millions of sperm and eggs die all the time, regardless of whether or not masturbation takes place.

This thread has become quite possibly the weirdest thread ever.

Undoubtedly there are those who can, though it takes extreme discipline.

Fot the most part, I agree, however.

Of course, then we have to ask the other question: is it good to put that much control on it?  I'm not saying that you should just do whatever, but sexual desire is a perfectly normal phenomenon.  I don't see how it makes you a worse person to listen to the desire; it's not as if it's like smoking, where you're gaining something by not doing it.  In fact, some studies have shown that not having an orgasm for an extended period of time can lead to an increased risk of prostate cancer for men, so you're protecting yourself from cancer by masturbating. Not at all. It's actually quite healthy.

And good for a healthy prostate Smiley

But lets be honest, people do it because it feels good end of story.

Well duh! Tongue

Never hurts to learn that something you enjoy improves your life, though.  Kind of different than most things teenagers and young adults enjoy. Wink
