These people in southern states who have abandoned the national Democratic Party, but are still registered Democrats - why do they bother to vote in Democratic primaries? Is it just to embarrass Obama?

Oklahoma and Louisiana, two of Obama's worst performances, were presidential primaries only. I guess those people take any opportunity to vote against Obama, for Randall Terry or some other nobody now, and for Romney in November.
