They SHOULD approve his appointees.
While I don't agree with the refusal to consider Garland's appointment, and will not defend that, Garland's appointment was a lifetime appointment to a separate branch of Government. Trump's appointment to Executive Branch positions are appointments to positions where the appointees serve at the pleasure of the President. That's a significant distinction. The Congress was meant to have a check against the Executive in regard to Judicial appointments as they are LIFETIME appointments. I don't agree that Garland was the place to use that, but this is what it is, and McConnell's actions on Garland is not a defense for holding up these appointments.
