I take some comfort in that fact that this man will be spending the rest of his life in prison (provided the four convictions are upheld). It is disappointing that there wasn't a conviction on the first-degree murder count. If a decision like that stands (and one that is even more blatantly obviously murder than even the Trayvon Martin case), it's practically open season on young black men in the state of Florida. Florida law obviously needs to change, but the prosecution needs to get its act together. If Angela Corey cannot get a conviction in the retrial, she should resign her position immediately.
