I think a lot of people don't realize the precedent this could set ...

And for McTurtle to go along with it. You would have thought that McConnell could see the "bigger picture" (and future consequences) in this charade from the Orange Clown.

The congressional Republicans will do nothing about it, that is certain. What a joke president, declaring a fake emergency. The next Democratic president should declare an emergency after a shooting and take guns away. If that happens, the GOP will start impeachment proceedings immediately.

Or maybe not "take guns away," but implement stronger controls on guns (which by the way, is supported by the majority of Americans).
Hell ... guns, gun violence and all the senseless killing from them are more of "an emergency" in our nation than building a stupid wall.

So much for the party of limited government.

And don't forget how the GOP would literally go nuts, jumping up-and-down and pulling their hair, when Obama would "massage/coax" policy with the use of Executive Orders (which every president does). That Obama was "over reaching" in his executive powers of The Office.
This new Orange-Clownish-action of declaring a "National Emergency" is 10-fold of what an E.O. is about.
Where are all those GOP legislators now?

When people don't complain about executive overreach when 'their guy' is in office, crap like this slowly becomes more legitimized.

That ship sailed unfortunately during the Bush years and nothing has been done to attempt to reverse it. Hopefully the courts rule this as unconstitutional along with the all the increases in executive power since 2001.

Holy sh**t, me and OSR actually agree for once

Donald J. Trump is truly bringing the country together.

And it only took the Fascist actions of a Dumbass President to do so.
Can you imagine what we could accomplish with a normal, competent executive? (Note: some sarcasm applied.)

Hill/HarrisX (one of Trump's better pollsters), Jan. 12-13: 31% support emergency declaration to build wall, 69% oppose.

CBS News, Jan. 28-31: 34% support, 66% oppose.

Someone explain to me how this is going to help Trump's approval rating?

Like many of Trump's crazier proposals, the Republican "moderates" will quickly fall in line. Between that, his re-energized base and a slightly larger percentage of black voters, his reelection grows more and more likely by the second. It is very sad.

What brightly-colored mushrooms have you been eating today?

Welcome to the #Resistance, Ann Coulter.
The real national emergency is that Ann f**king Coulter is acting more reasonably than the President of the United States.

LOL.
I cant wait to hear from some of our Atlas-own "stupidest people in his base" blue-avatars, and how they defend this Fascist move from the Orange Moron.
Should be good stuff; get the popcorn ready.

No, too easy to escape like El Chapo did from a Mexican prison.
Send Trump to the ultra-max in Colorado instead. The added benefit is that Calthrina can visit him more easily and remind him that the Dems are just as bad as he is.

Your attempt at humor falls flat on its face.

No it doesnt.

It falls flat on its face because it is meant to mock me, more than anything else. And it represents a distortion of my beliefs. But I've come to acknowledge that I am now the punching bag of the Atlas community.

You’re not the punching bag. You’re just the biggest self-parody most of us have ever encountered.
