An era is ending, his legacy will go on, but I am deeply saddened to see one of the only honest politicians in Washington leave.

Ron Paul will forever be, for many including myself, one of the greatest statesman the US has ever seen.

His uncompromising stances and firm moral fiber have resulted in, finally, a following that is ready to make a significant splash on the national stage. I will never forgot the contributions Dr. Paul brought to this country in the face of tremendous corruption and tyranny in the federal government.

THANK YOU DR. PAUL

He's almost gone. Our long national nightmare is almost over. Hopefully his son will give up his senate seat in 2016 to run for president and fail epically so we can never hear about them again.

Even if you dont agree with his policies, you have to admire Paul as a person.

-He does not pander to groups, he speaks his mind freely, how many politicians can say that theyve never flip-flopped on an issue before? Since 1976, he's been saying the same things.

-He is incorruptible. Lobbyists, the GOP, the Democrats, pretty much any group you can think of understands that Ron Paul will not bend under any political pressure, money, or threat. Again, how many politicians can say that?

-He does not vote down the party line, he isnt afraid to go against, or even leave, his own party, he is a fierce independent voice, even if you think he's crazy, you have to respect that

-Ultimately, he's just a nice guy. He's only because he cares and he believes in a cause. With all the disgusting things we see in washington today, he is a gaping breath of fresh air.

Love him or hate him, he was principled. America will never again be blessed with a man as unique as Ron Paul Strom Thurmond in Congress.

I doubt you would be so kind if it were for a different ideology than yours.

I respect certain politicians and political figures that i disagree with. Even though I disagree with their philosophy, I also realize that there is more to the individual than simply their policies. Moral fiber and character still mean something, at least I hope.
