I reported yesterday about Gooch's recent $100,000 ad buy against Pallone -- and just today, PoliticsNJ has a great piece about Chris Christie's dabbling in the race. With seemingly more competitive races in NJ-03 and NJ-12, the Governor has instead focused on and taken special interest in beating up on Frank Pallone.

For those unfamiliar, NJ-06 contains the most Democratic parts of a Republican county (Monmouth), plus the normally Democratic, "old suburban" Middlesex County. Originally drawn as a seat designed to re-elect the incumbent without effort, Republicans have been making gains in Middlesex, cutting the Democratic advantage here to D+8, down from D+12.

Christie does not need to help out NJ-3 anymore. Adler is going to be cooked.

An upset here would be awesome.  Little has seemed to run a strong campaign, but it would still be a real stretch for Pallone to lose.

I live in the district, and I have seen many people be overly critical of her, more because they wanted Gooch to be the nominee rather than Little being someone who is incompetent. Little has run a fantastic campaign, much better than recent previous opponents of Pallone.
I really applaud Mayor Little for keeping it this close up to the election.
If she wins, I would expect the Republicans to approach 265 seats or so. She is still a real long shot, but it would be nice to see her win.
