Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

I know I've said this a few times over the past week... but *clears throat* does this look like a ticket that thinks they're winning?

No, it sounds like a campaign where both candidates think they are losing.

Nice spin.

What spin?  Both Obama's and Romney's campaigns are saying it.

My impression is that both campaigns are saying they expect to win narrowly, Obama means it but is very nervous about the adverb, and Romney thinks he'll lose but doesn't want to signal it as clearly as McCain did because that might make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

From what I'm hearing, both candidates' internals are showing a win.

That seems to be the case, but it's a question of how bullish or bearish they are on their own internals. Leaking them like this doesn't seem like a move a bullish campaign makes, but that might be just me.
