I am on board with it as of now. I got what I wanted for the most part. In a perfect scenario, the regions could create and manage their own registries with enough Federal oversight and standards to ensure enough uniformity of structure, function and standards so as to produce the desired results; however, that requires a level of cooperation that would be difficult to maintain, especially when the SoIA doesn't seem to inclined to do his job, unfortunately.

Currently the Mental Health Bill is number 13 in the queue I beleive. It is my hope that by the time it reaches the floor that myslef and Duke have actually compiled a good portion of its contents so that it isn't an empty shell. Though it should be considered that is the strategy I employed with the Regulatory Reform Act back in 2010, if memory serves me. Of course that was mostly a solo act and so it was easier in some ways. This is much harder and were I not less then utterly optimistic that this Senate could possibly fail to collaborate in the composition of such while on the floor, I would be perfectly content to let it be formulated in such fashion. Chance are, Nix, Napoleon, or myself would end up composing 90% in such a scenario anyway.

We shouldn't fail in our attempt to address both and sometime between now and the commencment of summer preferably.

I believe I'll also be on board now. I was going to argue that getting your weapons license should be like getting your boating license (quick and easy), but I don't think that would fly.

I'm against the registry, but it's already law, and I don't think the rest of the bill is unnecessarily restrictive. Three guns is enough to keep a family safe. Getting an AWC for additional weapons will ensure that people still have the right to bear as many arms as they wish, but it could also prevent folks who shouldn't have guns from getting them, without discriminating directly against them.

That said, I do still believe that parts of Section 3 are unconstitutional (although I do personally support them), but I might as well work with what's been given to me.

I ask unanimous consent to waive cloture and proceed immeidately to a final vote. Senators have 24 hours to object.

Damn, should have done this yesterday. Hagrid's statement of support is too detailed to not be considered as debate.

Bring a suit, I am sure Ebowed, will love you for it. Which reminds me...

Would've voted aye, but I've been too pissed off to check in for the last couple days. Probably best for everyone, really.
