Completely support this. Life imprisonment is still very possible, it just has to include the possibility of parole, which is subjective and often fits the crime. Many developed, Western countries have done this.

I also support this. Life imprisonment without parole is an immoral overreach on the government's part. But my opinion doesn't matter. Tongue

I support this bill.

Why shouldn't we be able to trust ourselves to make right decisions at future dates?

I want to begin voting, if no other councillors have objections

With three votes in favor of the bill (Councilor Hats, DemPGH, and Flo) and two not voting on the bill (Kitteh and seatown), this bill crosses the 60% threshold needed to pass and it is now awaiting the Governor's signature.

This is the ratification of a federal amendment. It does not require my signature, and has been ratified by the Pacific Region.
