I think he would be mostly negatively received but with some fringe people on the left saying "Well at least he believes in a welfare state" and some people on the (alt) right saying "Well at least he believes in borders, language, and the nation-state". I disagree. If Hitler were to come to come to life, it would be all over the news for weeks. Sure, it would still be unlikely that anyone would believe him. But, there would be at least be a small chance that someone will believe him.

My question is, what if a charismatic, suave, crafty person who had Nazi views found his way on to the forum, managed to manipulate people to like him by acting like a generic liberal, but later started letting the mask slip? Imagine a slow descent from threads like "Zionists/Israelis are bad" to "Fire up the gas chambers".

I honestly think that such a poster could get at least 30 to 40 percent FF rating even after he makes his views known. People would justify it by saying "at least he has strong views and backs up his opinions with statistics" or "I don't agree with what he says but he's a nice person".

It goes to show you how forums can be quite toxic.
