Yeah, there's nothing new or surprising about this. These are the policies most of the GOP's traditional base (including Romney-Clinton voters and many wealthier Democratic voters) support. As far as the GOP is concerned, they were elected to enact these kinds of policies.

Republicans and their base will spin it as good for everyone because tax cuts will magically trickle down from the top to stimulate and grow the economy, thereby lifting those people dependent upon government assistance out of poverty. I mean, it's not at all based in reality and all evidence points to the contrary, but they can't just say, "yeah, I'm looking out for my class interests, so f*** you." It's not exactly socially acceptable.

Also, this is very important and controversial and will vanish from discussion - even on Atlas - as soon as Trump tweets, says, or does something inflammatory, idiotic, or both and draws every scrap of attention to that instead.
