I think she'd be a good VP candidate for 2020, but she would have to beef up on policy as a Senator in a short time and I don't think it's her time yet.

Just stop. You're making stuff up and moving goal posts when your criteria gets disproven.

No, that was always a part of it which is why I mentioned McGovern - I knew he was 50 and Gore was 52.

The fact is I am right and you know it - since the television age, the only non-incumbent Democrat winners have been 52 and younger and attractive.

The reason I didn't mention this originally is simple - Cortez Masto already failed the first test (being 52 or younger).
K.

It could just be a coincidence, or there could be an exception. Since Ike all the Republican winners have been old except for Nixon and Bush. Heck, outside of Nixon and Bush almost all their nominees are old.

2 of the last 4 GOP candidates were so old they broke the age record. Another was 64 ad if re-elected would have been the second oldest President ever. W. was the exception as he was just the average age when first inauguration.

But I feel the reasons for Democrats being television friendly makes sense due to demographics - single women and young people. Tbh, with how people's ages are being extended 62 is the new 52.

Cortez Masto looks young for her age, she looks to be in her late 40s. Her issue is she is pretty bland and despite Hispanic background is not fluent in Spanish, which is common but as a pol it helps. And she has maintained a very low profile unlike her fellow freshman Kamala Haris.
