The world has just lost one of the most well-achieved scientists whose works have contributed plenty of interesting and controversial theories which greatly enhanced our understanding of the world. He also defied the odds by surviving over 50 years with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which usually kills much quicker. RIP

A great loss. He made some very significant (and sometimes stunning) contributions to gravitational physics and cosmology. And we'll never know, but I can only imagine what he might have been able to accomplish if he had been able-bodied and didn't have to do everything in his head for most of his life.
