Strongly agree.

While countries should certainly honor treaties and other agreements, they must ultimately act in the national interest. In some cases, this means honoring "international law"; in others, it does not.

You think it's code for "Do you support the Iraq war?"

You think it's code for "Do you support the Iraq war?"

That's basically what I think which I always vote Strongly Disagree. however in actuality I say Agree, for example the UK might've violated international law when they had their "peacekeeping" troops in Sierra Leone attack the core of the brutal Revolutionary United Front insurgency with shoot to kill orders, but since that ended the insurgency, it was a good thing.

Agree with the statement, but not with what's implied.

Yeah.  It basically asks if you support the Iraq War or not, which is a completely different question.  If that implication weren't there I might put 'Strongly Agree' rather than just 'Agree.'

Agree.

I don't see it as a code for the Iraq war, and the my belief that international law should at least be considered keeps me from saying strongly agree - but in the end we have to determine our own national interest, so defying international law is not "always" wrong.

Covert ops against terrorists, such as was common but not common knowledge in the 90's, was a violation of various nation's sovergnty, but needed to be done and kept us safer.

Iraq is a whole other can of worms.
