Just a hypothecial. I include Sessions because, in theory, he could resign and be appointed back in just for the sake of stability.

Either Tommy Battle or Robert Aderholt. I'm leaning toward Aderholt as the surprise yet very stable pick (despite being in congress for 20 years already he's only 52, very conservative record without offending establishment republicans, and not outright obviously corrupt like Luther Strange).

Agreed. I expected him to be selected instead of Strange in the first place.

I could very much see Sessions resign and run for the new special election for his old seat.

Aderholt, Strange, or Sessions. Latter two being very corcumstance-dependent on how Moore wins and whether Sessions resigns, with the former being the choice if neither of the latter two are considered viable.

I don't think it should be Strange because that would look to much like subverting the will of the voters. Probably Sessions gets first right of refusal,

Remember when there were like 10 threads and polls on the first page all about the Missouri senate race?

If Moore wins and is expelled, Alabamans should be the brunt of every late night show joke until the end of time.

They should be deprived of one senator for a year.

I feel like Aderholt or Byrne would probably be the safest bet. It'd be stupid to appoint Strange again, given how the way he became appointed to begin with just reeked of corruption.

Either Ivey appoints Mo Brooks...or Ivey, knowing she's going to have trouble winning re-election, attempts to side-step it by appointing herself.

Rogers is probably the most "Generic R" currently in the AL House delegation.

I mean, if you asked me who the best realistic choice would be, Bradley Byrne used to be relatively moderate, so I'd go with him.
