CA, VA, TX, AZ, CO, NV, GA, AK, and NC are already trending Democratic. Will a win for Roy Moore make these states trend Democratic even harder?

It'll shove the Southern swing states left, that's for sure. The ads would just write themselves.

I don't know, probably not. At most it could help Democrats if they attempt a strategy based around a substantial decline of morals and ethics with Republican politicians. A strategy which I believe could be useful if pursued properly next year.

Although, if sexual assault allegations keep piling against Republicans and Democrats, it could make it less appealing to go down that route, as there will be plenty of "whatabouts" for Republicans to use.

Will there be several attack ads tying Republicans to Roy Moore in states that are trending Democratic?

Of course there will be. They will probably be ineffective though.

No lol, Roy Moore will have very little impact outside of Alabama. He could push Alabama left a bit I guess

It might hurt the GOP in GA especially in Atlanta. The whole Moore scandal has revived the narrative that has made Atlanta want to dissociate itself from the rest of the deep south.

In Arizona, Andy Biggs endorses Moore. This might accelerate the Democratic trend in AZ. Biggs is likely safe, but Senate, gubernatorial and Presidential races might be harder for the AZ GOP.

Anyone remember when the drowner Ted Kennedy won the Senate seat in Massachusetts? Maybe Democrats lost Senate seats in 1970 as a result of the 6 year cycle from 1964, but the drowner won his own seat.

Probably. Him winning and then not being expelled by McConnell will make the GOP look bad and could cost them a few more votes.

I doubt it. Moore is literally running a campaign against the GOP and attempts to link Moore to politicians who didn't explicitly endorse him will likely fall flat. The sheer number of scandals on both sides makes it hard for either party to realistically claim a moral high ground as a whole

I don't think so. Republicans could easily counter with Pelosi's interview about John Conyers.

Whoever's elected in another state doesn't usually affect the politics of other states.

Doubt it. Conyers didn't rape 14 year-old girls. While what Conyers did was horrible, it is nothing compared to what Moore has done.

But it could give Republicans ammunition to say that Democrats only care about sexual violence when Republicans (allegedly) do it. They could just show Pelosi calling Conyers an "icon" over and over.
