June 15, 1963 - President Johnson won't seek re-election

CINCINNATI, OH - Congressman Robert Taft Jr., considered one of the most conservative members of Congress, endorsed Richard Nixon for the 1964 GOP presidential nomination, giving Nixon a high profile endorsement from a conservative in a race where opponent Barry Goldwater is considered to be the conservative in the race. "Richard Nixon has committed to supporting state's rights and an end to this administration's recklessness in Vietnam," Taft Jr. said of the Former Vice President.

So Johnson was the 1960 presidential nominee? Cool. Who's his VP?

I think it’s still Kennedy wins in 60 but the  assassination still happens.

But he's referred to as "President Johnson" in June of '63, 5 months before he became President IRL (Nov. 22, 1963)

Oh wow you're right. I'm sure his vp will be stated later.

I was hoping for a ford wins 1976, but Nixon running in 64 makes me interested to see where this goes
