ANY of the “greats” (Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, Eisenhower, JFK, Reagan) win 538-0

FDR would probably win every state except Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

LOL Reagan doesn't win 538-0. I think he would lose against Obama.

Oh come on, the country is far too polarized for anyone to win 538-0. Not saying FDR wouldn't win, but after a campaign the map would still be fairly divided.

Roosevelt would definitely win. I have no idea about the map though. What I am also certain about is that Trump probably makes a crack about Roosevelt being wheelchair-bound.

"Most people beat polio, like easily, but not RUSEvelt. I prefer leaders that aren't paralyzed OK?
"Wheelin' Frank thinks he can lead American into the future, but he can't even lead them upstairs"
"Goofy Eleanor stays with Frank even though he's with Lucy Mercer, A TOTAL FLUNKIE. SAD."

Excuse me, I need to go take a cold shower and rewatch the Ken Burns Roosevelt miniseries after that post.

What scenario/background? It's literally impossible to make a judgement otherwise.

Roosevelt isn't a god and not all that great IMO, since his policies actually lenghtened the Depression and kept a lot of people in Poverty. Trump wins.

I can't see someone like FDR appeal to Hispanics. "I'm going to raise Taxes and increase your dependency on the Government". That'll go over well with a lot of people 🙄

Thinking about it, this is basically just a better Bernie vs Trump scenario. The one thing Bernie does have over FDR though, is the entire Japanese  internment camps issue.

FDR does have substantial foreign policy credentials and, like, real accomplishments over Bernie...

I was going to list the things FDR has over Bernie but that list is way too damn long, so I listed the like, one thing Bernie had over him.

The great irony is that FDR would narrowly lose Tennessee against Donald Trump even though the New Deal was beneficial to a majority of Tennesseans overall. Tennessee is one of the most partisan Republican states at the Presidential level due to the fact that the Republican Party is socially conservative (an overwhelming majority of Tennesseans identify as socially conservative), supports less environmental regulations (particularly on the use of coal), and opposes even the most basic forms of gun control.
