So Far the Barkley Administration have passed public work programs in both Urban and Rural Areas, create a bank deposit insurance, greatly regulate big business and banks, pass much pro-union legislation, repeal Smoot-Hawley, create a social safety net and take the US off the gold standard. While the Unemployment rate has dropped to 15%, the national debt has more than quadrupled, taxes have gone up ,  and inflation has risen to over 4% .

President Barkley is running on expanding the programs they passed over the past 4 years, creating a free healthcare system for seniors and increasing funding to make it easier for poor people to afford healthcare as well. He also wants to expand trade relations with Europe as he believes trade will help grow both America's and Europe economies, while at the same type helping the Europeans resist the move towards either Fascism or Communism. He has also claimed that when the Republicans use the word efficient they actually mean cutting programs as Republicans opposed many of these programs in the first place and would like to see it go.

Senator William Borah is running on making many of the government programs created over the past 4 years more efficient to reduce the deficit while helping grow the economy at the same time. He also supports cutting taxes for poor people , the middle class to help increase consumer demand in the economy which he believes is the best way to help grow the economy as well. Lastly, he has promised to let Europe handle their own problems and the US should not get involved in European problems unless they become American problems as well.

NBC Radio : We can report that President Barkley will win a 2nd term by another landslide,  although it will be with a reduced popular and electoral margin then he did four years ago. In the House the Democrats will pick up 3 seats and pick up 3 seats in the Senate as well.

Barkley 480
Borah 51
