     This reminds me of a study I found years ago that said that mice that were exposed to Toxoplasmosis lost their fear of cats. Such a phenomenon could explain why cats have Toxoplasmosis in their gastrointestinal tract, since there would be a clear evolutionary advantage for individuals who had the ability to make their favored prey animal not avoid them, though that is highly speculative.

     Hearing that this also affects people is very interesting, though.

I can think of two possible explanations of the correlation that don't involve T. gondi affecting human brains. To begin with, there's going to be a high correlation between being infected and having a pet cat. So it could be that the people who have pets in general, and perhaps specifically pet cats, develop (or already had) behaviors that make it more likely to go into business. The other is people who have pets could be likelier to come from a family background conducive to going into business. All correlation studies do is show an association; they don't determine if the association is direct or indirect.
