For me, a medieval and reactionary Catholic, Rome was my natural home before Vaticanum II.
But as HIS corpus mysticum has obviously passed away, i have to take the Byzantine Catholics into consideration, too. (Even a few OldLutherans believing in HIS real presence in liturgy, having held the sacraments, monasteries aso.)

They each have their good points, but overall Protestantism, tho that is a very broad brush.

This, though I have varying views depending on the type of Protestantism.

I am strongly favorable to Eastern Orthodoxy, but that branch will be at a natural disadvantage here since few Americans are familiar with its theology.

How come? Theology? Aesthetics? History? Something else altogether?

I love the strongly high church aesthetics and approach to worship of Orthodox Churches. I recently visited the Russian Orthodox Church in San Francisco, and the Catholic Churches I have seen had nothing on its majesty. The theology is also an important factor and it offers some neat resolutions to problems I have with Catholic and Protestant teachings, but I do admit that I am not an expert on theology, Orthodox or otherwise.

Aesthetically the orientalic rites are not very much compared to the Latin Mass - the retirement of exhausted old CultureNations. Sad, when compared with the ability of ancient Hellas to see and celebrate the Divine in bodies.
Theologically the old&real Roman Church was also the really right-believing one. (Only concerning the FILIOque both positions are per se insufficient. I'd say: The HOLY SPIRIT was sent by the FATHER to the SON, who reflected HIM at the same time.)

Interesting.

I find the Eastern churches quite a mixed bag theologically. They are pretty weak on the issues Protestants and Catholics have spent half a millenium arguing over, but they have all sorts  of interesting things to say about issues we Latins have ignored.

Mainline Protestantism>Catholicism>Evangelical Protestantism. I really don't have a strong opinion of the Eastern Orthodox Church either way.

Catholicism. I'm not familiar with Orthodoxy and Protestantism is too cluttered, decentralized, and architecturally lacking.

1. Mainline Protestant
2. Anglican
3. Oriental Orthodox
4. Eastern Orthodox
5. Catholicism/Evangelical Protestantism
6. Modern Protestantism
7. Restorationism and Nontrinitarianism

I did not rate Independent Catholicism, Independent Chinese churches, the Assyrian Church, or Messianic Judaism because I’m not very familiar with their theology.
