It's about time China get some practice at foreign peacekeeping.

They don't send troops in to protect their foreign interests in Africa very often.

They just transfer money to the right people.

Brezhnev thought he could bring Communism to Afghanistan. I am pretty sure the Chinese model has its own issues including being bad for Muslims(yet they have the Muslim world in its pockets).
