I don't know how or why Oliver Stone would be on a list of historians.

So the choice is:

Stone: a far-left filmmaker
Blum: a far-left journalist
Zinn: a far-left historian
Schlesinger: a left-wing historian

I'll go with Schlesinger, even though he was a little close with the Kennedys. I do think that Zinn was a serious historian, but he was also a bit of an ideologue.

Oliver Stone doesn't belong on the list.

Also, maybe make a list consisting of some people who are actually alive.

(I guess Oliver Stone is alive)

Time has really passed Schlesinger by, even though his books were really popular half a century ago.
