CNN has to bow down to the two party system? More voices need to be heard.

That was one of the worst answers I've ever seen on whether or not he would sell his Starbucks shares.

I'd be curious to hear Ayman al Zawahiri's thoughts on the 2020 election and the Green New Deal.

That was one of the worst answers I've ever seen on whether or not he would sell his Starbucks shares.

I don't see why he couldn't have just said yes. It's not like he even stands a chance of winning. But then again, he seems deluded enough to think he can.

I watched about half of the town hall just to see how he would react to the inevitable question of whether he can see himself spoiling the election or not. His answer did not disappoint...or I guess it did. He outright said that he could see himself being competitive in at least 45 states. Does this guy not understand how the electoral college works? That seemed to be true of a lot that he said. Don't get me wrong, he is more informed than Trump will ever be about most issues, but his response to all of them was basically that of a severely watered down Democrat from the Clinton era.

I don't see why he just doesn't run as a Democrat. Sure, he wouldn't stand a chance, but neither do Buttigieg or Delaney, so why not? he would actually be offering a different identity as more of a centrist in this primary that has so far featured very progressive visions for the country. Well apparently the Democratic Party is seen as too left for him. Him drawing those false equivalencies between the modern Democratic and Republican Parties really grated on me. He says that the Republicans are too extreme by advocating for the wall, which granted, he is right about, but then seems to feel obligated to then say that some Democrats wanting to abolish ICE (as if it's the mainstream position of the party, which it isn't) is somehow equivalent. It's ridiculous and the last thing the country needs right now. I'm not even one of those Democrats that thinks the party is too centrist, and even with the new influx of some more left wing policy ideas and politicians, for better and worse (honestly, mostly for the better), the party still isn't anywhere near far left enough to equal how objectively reactionary and far-gone the GOP has become.

Sure, his "both sides bad" schtick may win over some Calthrinas and few others, but he did a terrible job at justifying his own existence as a Presidential candidate. He said he was running because of his rags to riches life story. That's all well and good, but there are numerous others who also have that story yet don't have the ego to think they should become President for it...not even Trump (mostly because he was never in rags). He isn't offering any significant new solutions to the nation's problems and seems to be mostly a status quo candidate. I hope that voters are wising up to people with no political experience running for President. Trump may have opened those floodgates, but we can still contain it at this point. We just need to ignore this man and any other vanity candidates like him. CNN failed us with this, but I doubt that this town hall moved the needle very much. He does not have the larger than life persona of someone like Trump, Ross Perot, or even Gary Johnson. I may not like that voters voted for any of those individuals but at least they seem to have offered more than Schultz seems to be, even if those offerings are objectively terrible!

So what it comes down to is that this town hall was an absolute waste of time for everyone involved including Schultz himself, and even for me writing this. And I say that after only seeing maybe half of it. I didn't even see his now infamous "colorblind" response.  I really hope he doesn't run; not because I worry about him being a spoiler, I'm actually more convinced than ever of my hypothesis that he would maybe get 1% of the vote at most, he is no Ross Perot, or even a Gary Johnson; but because he would just be wasting a lot of time, money, effort, and energy. He would be taking attention away from candidates who do serve more of a purpose in our upcoming national election also taking away from or watering down the issues and their proposed solutions. He may not be the worst billionaire (or fake billionaire) to have ever tried running for President, but he is probably the most irrelevant one to ever try.

It was just reported that his town hall drew 48% less viewers than Harris's.

I did not watch it hoping to contribute to poor ratings.  The media needs to stop giving attention to Howard Sham and his delusions of grandeur.

McAfee will get more votes than Schultz anyway, why does he need more publicity?
