A voting booth has now been established. It also deals with Emsworths policy proposals.

It is located here:

In the Pacific Senate Race, there are two candidates: Jesus and WMS. My opinion is that we should endorse WMS. It is true that Jesus' views are closer to our platform. However, WMS has repeatedly proven himself to be a very capable and dedicated Atlasian. In particular, he appears on the whole to be a more active campaigner than his opponent.

I thank the Honorable Emsworth for his kind words, and for the votes in my favor so far. Smiley

That's not true. I have only had an opponent for several days.

I certainly have the time to be a Senator, and have contributed much to this website. It makes much more sense to endorse a like-minded individual instead of a "populist" who had barely posted in the Fantasy section until someone asked him to challenge me.

If you mean that my contributions to the Fantasy section are insubstantial, I suggest you look at the overall picture. I served well as Senator and Secretary of State, and also refrained from cluttering up the Fantasy Board with frivilous topics and posts. Quality over quantity, ya know. Wink And this has been on my radar for quite a while now.

I'm not intending for this to be a negative campaign, "libertarian". Tongue Just so you know.

I'm not saying you haven't contributed anything, because you have. However, you have not been an active member of this "game" since your previous service, and have only shown up to run for Senate.

Well I'm glad to hear you say I've contributed. Kiki
While it is true I haven't posted a ton, I do keep an eye on this board to see if anything of particular interest pops up - as with Gabu's attempt to reform the voting system to FPTP w/runoff (which I support BTW). And an uncontested election for the Pacific Senate was definitely "of particular interest". Smiley

I think I should address this seemingly everlasting convention. Emsworth has withdrawn under unfortunate circumstances and like others, I hope that he will return to the race or to politics as soon as possible. Endorsements for other races will continue as normal.

Don't feel too bad about it -ours lasted from August '05 to December of that same year.  If you're competing with us on who can have the longest-lasting founding convention, you have a long ways to go yet....  Tongue
