Educated suburban Republicans who either thought Trump surely wouldn't be as bad as Democrats claimed (or that it was safe to vote for him anyway because he had no chance to win), but now seeing how bad he really is will never vote Republican ever again.

The above describes so many people in all 50 states.

As a Republican suburbanite from one of the most educated areas of the country who did not support Trump in 16, my experience has been the opposite. I wonder if there's any polling data on it.

" I'm conservative and a Republican , but Edwards seems to be doing alright as governor."

(Optional): " besides, I could never stand Hillary is president, but I'm tired of trump acting so weird and Petty all the time"

EDIT: Or: "I'm Conservative Republican, but Trump's tariffs are going to kill my fishing business!"

Well, there are election results from after Trump took office showing Democrats suddenly gaining in the suburbs all over the country...

A typical Republican that was skeptical of JBE in 2015 but voted for him Saturday as he agrees with him on several issues.
