The topic title is vague, I guess, but what I am asking is ... what is the main city/attraction/activity that would draw you to each state in the union, hypothetically?  This is inspired by the topic that asked us to rank all of the states.  For example, you might not usually want to visit South Dakota, but maybe Mount Rushmore would be worth a trip if time and money allowed and you were already in the region?  Feel free to keep it vague, as I will likely be forced to put something like "Nature" for states I'm fairly ignorant about, haha.  Here are mine:

AL: Gulf Shores (with a stop at Lulu's for a happy hour beer)
AK: Denali National Park
AZ: Grand Canyon
AR: Hot Springs National Park
CA: Wine Country
CO: Denver (LOT of friends)
CT: New Haven??
DE: One of the beaches...
FL: The Keys
GA: Savannah
HI: Kona Brewing Co., actual bucket list item
ID: Shoshone Falls
IL: [Live here] ... of a place I haven't been, the Shawnee National Forest in Southern IL
IN: Indianapolis (family)
IA: [Former residence ... of a place I haven't been, Pella in Central IA
KS: Allen Fieldhouse for a game (Lawrence), especially if by some small chance Illinois ever played there
KY: Kentucky Derby
LA: New Orleans
ME: Acadia National Park
MD: US Naval Academy?
MA: Boston
MI: Founders Brewing Co.
MN: Minneapolis
MS: Ole Miss tailgate (The Grove)
MO: Kansas City
MT: Glacier National Park
NE: College World Series (Omaha)
NV: Las Vegas
NH: Mount Washington?
NJ: Maybe Princeton, actually?
NM: Carlsbad Caverns?
NY: New York City
NC: Outer Banks
ND: Badlands??
OH: Ohio Stadium (The Shoe) for a game ... preferably in a year Illinois is competitive!
OK: I guess Oklahoma City ... to get drunk somewhere?
OR: Portland
PA: Gettysburg
RI: A Gilded Age mansion?  Ignorant to which...
SC: Charleston
SD: Mount Rushmore
TN: Smokey Mountains
TX: Austin
UT: Zion National Park
VT: Stowe
VA: Richmond
WA: Seattle
WV: The Appalachian Trail
WI: Door County ... of a place I haven't been, New Glarus Brewing
WY: Yellowstone National Park

Makes me realize how little of the US I have really experienced.  Curious to see if others have cool hot spots in their lists!

Not doing every state out of laziness, just the saving graces of ones I have pronounced negative impressions of.

Alabama: Civil Rights history
Arizona: Painted Desert/Petrified Forest
California: There's a lot of stuff worth seeing, I just have a negative opinion of it overall
Connecticut: Mark Twain, Wallace Stevens, and Charles Ives-related stuff
Delaware: Some pretty nice beaches
Florida: Everglades
Idaho: The national forests
Mississippi: The blues
New Hampshire: See California
Oklahoma: Some of the most intact Native American cultures in the United States
South Carolina: Charleston
Wyoming: Yellowstone
