Chief Justice TCash delivered the opinion of the court. Justices Emsworth and ColinWixted concurred.
True Democrat vs. President EbowedStatement of FactsTrue Democrat reregistered in the federal territory of Puerto Rico. President Ebowed issued an Executive Order declaring all registrations in Puerto Rico would not be allowed since the Sixth Article of the Constitution states:
True Democrat is suing, claiming the Executive Order to be unconstitutional on the grounds that it revokes his citizenship in Atlasia, while not allowing him to become one in Puerto Rico.
OpinionTrue Democrat's claims that his citizenship rights have been terminated are incorrect. The Executive order essentially corrects the problems that would arise if a citizen of Atlasia switches his or her voter registration to the territory of Puerto Rico. Since it is not a state, True Democrat is unable to register as a voter in that location. President Ebowed',s order clarifies, with force of law that True Democrat's registration was not valid and no one else should register in a non-Atlasian state.
These matters are only relevant to True Democrat's voter registration. He may legally reside in Puerto Rico, but if he wishes to remain a voter, his registration must clearly provide a
state of residence. Or he may deregister. True Democrat retains all the rights of citizenship; he just may not register to vote in a territory where there are no provisions for registering in that location.
We find the Executive Order to be within the bounds of the Constitution.
