Without the swing to Biden in the fossil fuels dependent heavily working class white NE PA rust belt, Biden unless his margin ends up over 80,000, would have lost to Trump in PA. (Among things, Trump got a heavy swing to himself in Philly.) Any other rust belt fossil fuel area swing to Biden in such a way?

What would have happened if Biden had not been born in Scranton? Then this election would have turned on AZ and Georgia.

Here is the swing map by county.

SCRANTON Purple heart

Never been there but as an industrial city between 50,000 and 100,000 inhabitants it reminds me of mine own place, and that combined with its stubborn Democratic lean and it being Joe Biden's birthplace gives it an aura of magic.
The only city that beats Scranton is Duluth because it has the same characteristics + a water body + touristy areas nearby and because Bob Dylan > Joe Biden.

Scranton is one of those places that when you visit is a pleasant surprise. I liked it. I have a hobby of visiting smaller cities, particularly down and out ones, to check out their urban planning and so forth. That way I can pontificate to the powers in my tiny but very complex city about X did this, and we should/should not do that! The worst I have seen so far vis a vis my expectations before I saw it up close and personal still remains the Albany metro area. What a mess!

Don't sleep on that swing in South-Central PA as well. Biden's improvement in York, Reading, Harrisburg, and Lancaster really deserve #analysis Purple heart and were also key to his victory.
