Oh, no, reread that. I was referring to Fattah becoming Mayor. I didn't mean Street going to Congress even though that could be the deal with Fattah. Congressman Street - the official embarrassment of Pennsylvania in Washington, DC.

Leasts: Most of the San Fransisco delegation

That's an odd way to refer to Pelosi and Lantos.

I meant most of the area.  It's been awhile since I've been there, I forget most of the geography.  And certainly the last time I was there I didn't know who their Congresspeople were.

Out of curiosity, why are you a fan of Kit Bond?

Well he seems to be quite moderate for a Missouri Republican; in the mould of John Danforth.  He also was one of the chief proponents of the Family Medical Leave Act - I like him for that.

House:

Democrats:
Favs: Frank, Rangel
Leasts: Cuellar and a bunch of other Bushlite fascists from the south, mostly

GOP:
Favs: None
Leasts: Schmidt, Shays

My favorite in the Senate is Specter (I did a lot of work with him some time ago, and I think the world of the man)

My least favorite in the Senate is most likely Jim Demint.

Over in the House I'm a fan of Ron Paul.

I'm not a fan of most folks in the House, but I'll put Musgrave and McHenry near the top of that heaping helping of dislike.

As for the Democrats - I'll wait and see what they do with a little bit of power before I make any judgements. I like the tone Obama has set - but we'll see what he does with it and fiscally he looks more than a bit iffy to me. Dorgan interests me as well. I have high hopes for Shuler and Webb - but they are going to have do something before I give them a verbal high five.

Happily, many of my least favorite Senators will be leaving office in January. Of the ones who are left, I have very little use for Ted Stevens, Richard Shelby, Trent Lott, and James Imhofe.

My least favorite Congressman was Katherine Harris, by a wide margin, but she is leaving too. Of the ones who are left, I guess I will say that my least favorite is the Congressman from my district, Bob Goodlatte. He hasn't done a single constructive thing in the fourteen years he has been up there and is a knee-jerk conservative Republican without a single original thought, or many thoughts at all, in his head. Plus, he reneged on his promise to step down after serving ten years.

I don't know about favorite Congressmen... there are so many of them I would have to look at a list to pick out the best, and I don't really have the time. Among the Senators, though, my favorites would be McCain, Inouye, Schumer, Wyden, Warner, Leahy, Murray, Feingold, and Rockefeller.
