Term from early 2010s Atlas to refer to a group of largely Republican moderators: Torie, Inks, and Badger, and maybe some others whom I'm forgetting. They were highly controversial in their time and received a lot of critique in the moderation arguments of the period.

     Lawyers IRL have actually been fantastic in my experience. Lawyers on Atlas are a far more mixed bag, though I will say that Torie has been nothing but a mensch.

Muon was - technically still is, but retired - physicist who taught at I believe Northern Illinois university. He was also one of atlas's few actual politicians having served as mayor of West Chicago and several terms in the Illinois State Legislature. But no, he wasn't a lawyer.

I liked to joke that I don't practice law, I just make the law. I will admit that many of my legal colleagues were amazed at my grasp of legal principles, especially in redistricting law. To Dule's thread, innate memory comes in very handy when dealing with statutes and cases.

My "favorite" story about him in addition to what caused him to be removed from modship was that EarlAW's live-in girlfriend had an account she used sporadically and during one of his controversial moments she came in and told him off...and he immediately went off to to the mod cave demanding a sock check on that account and wanting her banned. And this was explained to him then...but it's telling that was his first inclination.

There's also the absolutely bizarre way he basically interrogated Bushie cross-examination style in the Update threads, demanding detailed accounts from him about his meals the previous day or physical activity, while it's true that Bushie was a habitual liar and definitely needed to watch that stuff far more than most people, it's pretty creepy just how invested Inks was into something that ultimately didn't matter to him at all. He actually made Bushie into a sympathetic figure, which considering Bushie's conduct says a lot!

And of course the incident that got him removed from modship, where he went on a police interrogation style grilling of posters and threatened sanctions unless they provided info said in IRC about potential socks is downright surreal. Like we're talking about message board moderation here. It's even more bizarre than the type of posters who act like their Atlasia offices are equivalent to real life offices.

Since blk lawyers go thru Bankruptcy law or Public Defender or DA they represent the poor man but Rich lawyers go thru tax and property law and deal with rich people and oil interest

The benefit of being a bankruptcy lawyer you can practice law in any state, you don't have to go to an ABA accredited law school
