Khamenei's son seems to be one of the frontrunners.

So…

Khamenei's son seems to be one of the frontrunners.

That said, hopefully there's not much of a future for this regime.

Would the Iranian council really want to turn this into an unofficial monarchy, like North Korea and so many other places? Once Kharmenei is dead, they don't need to worry about upsetting him for not picking his son.

This thread was made (before the recent death of the Iranian president) to begin speculating what may happen when Supreme Leader Khamenei dies, and who the next Supreme Leader may be.
