Shocked Jas's strength in the Midwest is crazy. His base of support was even more regionalistic than DWTL's base of support.

Grin The Midwest is a special place - and I'm sure being the only Midwesterner on tha ballot helped! Thankfully the region still has plenty of die-hards from my time as Governor.

Regional roots still seem to be important. I looks like everyone (exc. Sensei) did best in their home region.
yeah, but I had no business winning anyway.

This election was a major victory for Regions' Rights. You winning was just part of this great victory. Evil
Regions Schmegions Tongue

But Regions' Rights are fun! Sad
True, but you guys getting Down elected isn't particularly a good thing for this country.

Better him than someone who opposes Region's Rights. Wink

Senate results (first prefs.) by Region

Mideast: Al 26.6%, Happy Warrior 20.0%, Sensei 13.3%, Xahar 6.6%, Down 6.6%, Jas 6.6%, Culture King 6.6%, Colin 6.6%, Benconstine 6.6%

Midwest: Jas 55.5%, Culture King 11.1%, Al 11.1%, AndrewCT 11.1%, Down 11%

Pacific: Culture King 58.3%, Xahar 41.7%%, Down 7.7%

Southeast: Down 41.6%, Al 16.6%%, Xahar 16.6%%, Happy Warrior 8.3%, Sensei 8.3%, Colin 8.3%

Northeast: Colin 26.6%, Sensei 20%, AndrewCT 20%, Al 13.3%, Down 13.3%, HW 6.6%

Inspired me to see what the result of IRV counts would be in the various regions...
Most interestingly, by my count, DWTL would have lost the Southeast to Al (7-6).

Obviously, myself and CultureKing would have won the Midwest and Pacific by majority votes.
The Northeast would have been a tie between Sensei and AndrewCT.
Al wins the Mideast, but depending upon the order of elimination (CESRA s2(4) is something I'd need clarification on), he either beats HappyWarrior or myself 8-6 in the final round.
