Made me understand what I hated about politics the most.

LOL. That has to be the dumbest post of the day in this particular venue, and maybe even week.

What was your previous screen name. Just send me a PM. I won't tell. I never disclose PM content, not even to God or Jesus, absent permission. Tongue

Very little politically for someone who has been on this forum for over five years.

I've grown long hair, cut it shorter, and grown it long again. Now it's back to the point where I can basically eat it.

I got married. My wife moved with me to the old house in which I grew up. She got a job in New York City. I've been promoted once and shuffled around twice. I finished part-time grad school to get my master's in philosophy. I've visited family and friends many times. I've gone on a honeymoon and two vacations. I've become less scrawny. I don't wear my hair as long any more, and I no longer have a goatee.

My political views haven't changed much. I did settle slightly rightward economically at the very beginning here, but that was the end of a series of shifts during and shortly after college unconnected to the Atlas. I think I was as reformist then as I am now, as I do recall supporting abolishing the Presidency before joining.

How old are you? Just curious.

No, I moved left then back right then to where I am now. The only reason why I was ever right to start with is because my parents were and I thought if I did think like them then I was bad.

Personally, I've become more independent, extroverted, and cynical. Politically, I've become more conservative for the most part. I'm pretty sure they're linked.

Trust me on this. They're not. Becoming more conservative implies decreasing independence, increasing feelings of guilt and shame over 'deviance', a desire to see everyone become like yourself and increasing fear of 'the other'. US style neoliberal/neocon/washington consensus cowboy capitalism is motivated out of hatred and fear of the other whether they're an ethnic, racial or confessional minority.

I've become more average(I mean compared to people my own age), more cynical and my opinion of people as a whole has gone down a whole lot. I have mostly stopped being a Christian, my music tastes have improved by really large amounts.

Politically I haven't really changed that much. I actually have my own seperate views from most people that are Democrats, Republicans or Independents in the way I believe them but on the whole I still belive in the same things generally.

My political views didn't change much, though I became a full-time Harper hater and much less of a UMP hack.

I've also moved to Ottawa from Riyadh, and started IB in a new school.

Though it was before I even got mildly interested in politics, I remember supporting the Bloc/NDP in the 2004 federal election. In 2006, I was a hardcore Tory supporter. I supported the ADQ for a while in Quebec, until I realized Mario was a retard.

I supported Sarkozy in 2007 and was a UMP hack. My opinion of him has declined since.
