Most Montanans disapprove of the job he has done on health care and oddly enough a majority of Montanans favor a public option in the health care plan(the wording was skewed to support a favorable answer though) by 47-43.

The party registration percentages are accurate too. I think this poll perfectly illustrates the nature of the current debate on health care.

Thanks EMD.  Very interesting.  Is Research 2000 reliable?

Sometimes, but as EMD pointed out, the question is skewed

How is that skewed?
1.) It never states the it is government, or at least federally run (sure it can easily implied by reading and hearing are two different things)
2.) It doesn't lay out costs or anything like that

Sure it sounds awesome to just wave a magic hand and have health care as this poll implies

hmmm maybe skewed was a poor choice of words on my part but using that wording does show a somewhat falsified picture of what people think of "Obama's" health care plan. Because of the right wing smears, a good chunk of people really don't think that is what the public option is. I think the question should just be:"do you support a public option in the health care bill?" or something similar.

Notice that Baucus's opinion on health care has only a de minimus effect on his re-elect numbers as it should I think. But then I am not a one issue voter typically. I suspect there is more in play with his weak numbers than just heath care.

Baucus is a piece of crap. Bob Kelleher should have won in 2008.
