Aww, I moved from Barrow County to Orleans Parish in 2008 but I don't show up Sad

Well actually, I suppose it wouldn't count moving to college since students don't change their permanent residence.

Philadelphia.  Ehh, what can I say.  A lot of Outward to North Carolina and Florida, but for some reason a lot of Inward from New England.  Bout what I expected.  It seems like there's a lot of "parents' old money" hipster types from New England that love Philly but retirees moving to NC and FL if I were to guess.

You'd think Forbes could afford decent graphic designers.

Their ad revenue is down by like half since 2000.

Take a look at Clark County, NV.

I expected there to be a lot of inward migration, but it seems pretty lopsided.  Basically a lot of Northeast liberals are moving into Clark and people in Vegas are leaving for the Pacific Northwest, Texas, Atlanta, and the Carolinas.  Can any say "future blue state"?

Also interesting, note the massive exodus from the Honolulu area.

I've only looked at those 9 cities' immigration, and I wonder why the people moving from Chicago to Palm Beach County have a $160,000 average income...

Perhaps a few people with multi-million-dollar incomes skewed the results.

It was interesting looking at the statistics for Duluth and Seattle.  Those moving to Seattle had an average income of like $25,000 while those moving to Duluth had an average income over over $300,000.

I guess the olds wanna retire by the lake?

If you look at inward migration into New Orleans you will find that people moving to Orleans Parish from Madison County, MS have a per capita income of around $130,000 (taking into account the cost of living in MS, that's like $500,000 in California or New York).
