Whoa: "Candidate Dan Maes, a Tea Party backed candidate who grabbed the nomination following a plagiarism scandal that sank the hopes of the GOP frontrunner, garnered just 15 percent of the vote in the three way contest with Democrat John Hickenlooper and former Republican Congressman Tom Tancredo, running on the American Constitution Party line.

Hickenlooper took 44 percent of the vote and Tancredo garnered 34 percent."

Not for the first time, kids. He posted about forty times in 2008. Right around this time of year, too.

Some bad Numbers for the Democrats buried in these cross-tabs:

Running through the Demographics of these states, Republicans are winning the youth vote by about a point (45-44) across the 5 polls combined (N=1216, so it's statistically relevant) despite winning the general electorate across the 5 polls by 5 points (47-42).  The youth vote leans more Republican than the states as a whole in Wisconsin, Washington, and Ohio (sort of, both Portman and Fisher do worse with them then they do statewide, but Portman does less bad), and Democrat in Colorado and Illinois (where the G-man has a 21-point lead with them).  Excluding IL (which is a Safe Democratic State), Republicans are up 49-42 with the Youth and 49-43 with the general, suggesting that the Generation Y vote in 2010 is actually going to be about even compared to the National average.

So across 4 states that Voted for Obama with about 55% of the Vote (and only 1 that's less Democratic than the country as a whole), Republican Senatorial Candidates are up an average of 6 points in total and up 7 with young voters.

Youth numbers in crosstabs have looked bizarre all year in most polls.

Hopefully these accolades that the Republicans are accepting don't work out.

Youth numbers in crosstabs have looked bizarre all year in most polls.

Especially across Pollsters.  PPP's California poll had the Democrats up 62-18 with the under-30s on the Generic ballot and has generally had them voting Democratic by incredible margins in other locations too.

However a sloth of other pollsters have them at roughly equal to the national average or a slight Dem lean.  Things get more complicated if you notice that the FOX poll has the Democrats up 21 points with the IL youth vote, but the PPP poll has them roughly tied (though with 12% going to the green party candidate).  The polls just seem to be all over the place, and we'll probably have to wait until the election to figure it all out.
