So, I've felt the need for one of these threads. I think this is my second one in all my years here, so I deserve it. Anyways, as many of you know, my fiancee and I broke up back in May. That break up is part of the reason that I took this job and moved out here to futtbuck, PA. So anyways, this past week she has been talking to be a little bit. She told me she can't wait to see me again, and how she misses me a lot. Valentines day she posts a picture of what I got her last year, and she said "Still the best present ever". Last night, I heard what was going to be our first dance. Today is her birthday, and so obviously I wished her a Happy one, and now she is hinting off that she might be coming out here this weekend with my sister to visit me.

I'm feeling quite torn by this. I've missed her dearly, and one of the reasons I've moved out here was to get away from things that remind me of her. But now, I'm not sure.. but I can't tell if she wants to try being with me again. Our breakup was mutual. It was a tough choice for us, but something happened which I'm not going to speak about on the forum, but it didn't have anything to do with cheating or anything like that.

I dont know.. I'm rambling now, but I'm excited to think she might come out and visit, and maybe this rekindles something. But at the same time, can I really let myself be open to her again. I haven't felt anything like this in a while now..

How are the options in Futtbuck, PA?
Id probably see what's up with the ex. But really, your sister would just decide to bring your ex out with her to visit you?

Options here in Futtbuck, PA are limited, especially for someone my age. They already all have kids who are almost teenagers. Apparently, all they do around here is breed idiots. I think my sister would, they are all good friends.

My ex and I broke up too in December after 2 years together. She called me 5 weeks afterwards and started talking, but told me she missed me and felt comfortable talking to me, but didn't regret breaking up despite being miserable since she left.

I've never believed in being friends with exes, ever. Girls tend to use us sometimes to get over their feelings or use us as a backup plan. You were engaged, I know, but she broke it off. I would be careful before jumping back into anything with her and make sure she isn't just using you as a backup. It's tough cause when my ex contacted me, at first I was all over it and thought she wanted to get back together, when in reality she only wanted me to be her emotional crutch, essentially.

The break up was mutual. PM me for more info.

It's very hard to tell without knowing more, to be honest. I had a breakup of a 7 year relationship earlier this Fall. I have no real regrets, so I guess it doesn't really compare.

I think it can be hard to start over after something like that but I also think it can be done. The key is probably to be very clear and agree on burying the past as well as you can if you go for that.

I'd be willing to help with advise to the extent that I can.

Futtbuck, PA = All of Pennsylvania.

As for your predicament...it's tough. I can't advise you, as I'm only 15, but I have gotten back together with an ex and am currently happy because of it.

Well, it ends up they weren't going to come out last minute, because my mom ended up having a surgery today she didn't want to tell me about. Either way, I ahve no idea what the hell is going on, because now my meeting is finished, and rumor has it they might want me to take up charge of this branch, and re-locate it out of North Futtbuck, PA, and down to Fraggleburg, PA (Pittsburgh)

Sad

So you're left waiting amidst confusion?

Doesn't really sound like you're leaving Futtbuck, PA, even if you're "leaving Futtbuck, PA"...usually people are moving out of Pittsburgh.

Yeah, pretty much. I hope that I don't have to move to Pittsburgh. But it would be nice to be in civilization again. I work in Mansfield, and live in Morris Run. Pretty small population, considering I lived in Norwalk, CT. Quite the change from the gold coast.

We've been amused by the place names Loyalsockville (which inexplicably occurs quite prominently on the DRA map; it's a small place, if in the middle of nowhere) and Loyalsock State Forest before.
Now it turns out you live rather close by.

Update!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As some of you may know from my twitter, I didn't get sleep last night. There was a bat.. in my house. More specifically, in my room. Once I got it out, it chased me back to my room. I closed the door and it literally tried to get in all night. I'm so damn tired, and I hope there was only one in there. Going to have someone come over tonight and help me get it out.

Psh! I wish! I'm living much better out here than I ever did in CT! I will be out there next weekend, so watch out Norwalk, Westport and Fairfield, because Big Daddy is coming to play!
