Great.

That he's speaking up, that is, not that he is HIV positive.
The one thing that saddens me is that he's standing down...I'd much prefer if he were reelected despite that.

True (this year is the anniversary of him coming out, btw). The fact that he's had it for at least 17 years and is still alive is also encouraging
