Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Believe it or not, I found this entirely coincidentally, from a Wikipedia article listing constituent monarchs. Apparently there's a running dispute as to who their king is.

They live in Panama.

That wiki article sounds like a hoax to me.

That wiki article sounds like a hoax to me.

A quick Google search shows they're legit, though that is a really weird Wikipedia article; the ones it links to don't link back to it, which is frequently a sign of 'not-real-ness'.

FP. Seem to have an interesting and unique culture and it's rather difficult not to vote 'FP' when entire ethnic groups are up for debate.

'Indigenous peoples of Panama' links back, but refers to them as 'Teribe'.

I see they have a monarchy.

I can imagine it now, lost in the modern world with its confusing and incoherent daily round of changes and transformations, the Naso people have retreated into the comforting blanket of decaying symbols and the deluded worship of archaic ruler which now all together have to come operate as the unwritten bible of their lives unable to even see any other possible vistas.

Luckily, We of the internet are too sophisicated for such withdrawals into fantasy worlds.

Hey, I've been to Bocas del Toro.  I stayed at Isla Colón and later took a nice longboat ride in the canals there.  Lots of locals fishing old school.  I scored a little dime bag and rented a hooptie bicycle that fell apart after about an hour, but I brought it back and they gave me another one.  Didn't have any trouble with that one but I got caught in a nasty downpour on a little dirt road and some of the locals came by and let me put my bike in the bed of their Nissan pickup and hauled me back to the village.  They all spoke Spanish pretty well, but they did speak some strange language among themselves.  I also did some scuba diving at Bocas del Drago and Bocas del toro.  Nasty water.  Worst visibility in any part of the Caribbean I've ever dived in.  Still, it was a great adventure.  I had pan-fried baracuda at one little roadside lunch stand.

Good times.

Well, it sounds nice enough.  Still, I feel you've left something out.  Or, I'd like to believe you left something out.

Indeed.  There was a very long conversation between me and a striking brunette.  It started as she sneaked upon me while I was photographing a big flower hanging from a tree--a purple one, though I don't know what kind it was--and it ended many hours later in my lodgings.  Alas, I'm an old, boring married man now, and such details seem lurid and unnecessary.  I should have know you'd pick up on that, if only to remind me of your attitude toward the decisions I've made.

Hmm.  Actually the motivation for my inquiry was purely my own entertainment.  Alas this final installment of your story didn't mention money, so its hard to relate to it, for me.  But still, nice.
