Let's keep it simple and say "Irish".  My Irish ancestors are a fun hodgepodge of Presbyterians from Ireland, Presbyterians from Northern Ireland, Catholics from Ireland, and Irish Protestants who arrived at a time that I should be calling myself "Scotch-Irish", but needless to say the island of Ireland is very important to my ancestry

When I was in Europe last summer, though, I was near-universally assumed to be German before I opened my mouth.  My Hessian ancestors and Hessian Y chromosome probably helped with that

The top of the page that shows the mods.  Yes, of course I remember Alcon was a mod, and in fact, when he was the only mod here.

Those were better times.  I never felt nearly as outraged when Alcon ruled the roost as the Inks/dumbfock milkado/lunar/torie days.

Anyway, to the subject at hand:

My mom was reported by the adoption agency as primarily Norwegian with some Swedish and miscellaneous small amounts of Irish and French.

My dad is half Scottish and half mostly Scots-Irish with a little Swiss.

So, Norwegian is the largest chunk, followed by Scottish.  So, by stereotypes I should be a tall, lanky blond guy who likes to steam fermented fish in a sheep's stomach and sop up the juices with oatcakes.

Thank God I'm not that proud.
