Option 3. Typically only if it's something important or a big deal, not "Yay I finally got around to shopping today!" or "Haha I got so drunk last night"

Sparingly for my actual friends.  When being used as part of a strategic courtship process... these things become a little more complicated.

This. For example, one of my friends recently posted a really long status that was basically a plea for hipsters and non-hipsters to come together and "#snuggleundertheblanketoffriendship", which I liked. I don't, however, like those stupid statuses that are basically "look at this food I ate" or "I'm in Jewish camp!".

Sparingly. I never like pictures. The one exception is when some friends announced their engagement. I otherwise only like witty statuses or political ones I agree with (I find I like one of Sam’s or Cathcon's posts at least twice a week).

Option 4.  I am not on the Facebook, and I have no desire to be there.

Sometimes. I am trying to ween myself off of Facebook due to its sheer evolution into Myspace.

If FB "likes" are part of a strategic courting process I'm sure f[inks]ing happy FB wasn't around when I was strategizing over a courting process....there was enough to think about without the online etiquette to add to the list.

I'll take your word for it, young friend.  Mrs. Grumps might get pissed if I started courting again Wink

You have different people on your FB than I do, clearly. Well, most of them anyway.
