That August 2012 At-Large election was awesome. All Atlasian elections should be like this.

I don't know if anyone else finds these interesting but here's a few things I've noticed:

The Liberal Party has won a national election in every presidential cycle (breaking the JCP record of 4, even)

The Federalist Party is stronger than the sum of its parts (the Whigs weren't viable even when paired with the Imperial Bloc)

Two strong candidates in a final round from the Federalists and the Labor Party will typically result in a close race (Clarence 51% Marokai 51% Nix 51%)

Labor hasn't done so great in the regular at large elections, but that could easily change in the next cycle (they've won a single seat each time)

The August 2012 at large election was the only time the "Right" was not the party with the most votes (the election occurred when my presidential popularity was near its peak)

We have yet to see a Federalist-Liberal match up in a Senate race (if the Liberal makes it to the final round, its usually at the expense of the Federalists)

That election was cool, because we really made it about policy. I hosted a debate for the candidates and it was highly competitive. Unfortunately, NVGonzalez and BK resigned shortly after my reelection and honestly that's when I kind of stopped caring Sad

I enjoyed August 2012. It did feel like it was about a little bit more than "I'm me and this is my party, please vote." Maybe that's just because it was my first national election though.

It definitely is looking like Labor/Federalists are basically just the JCP/RPP now. Oh well, it was worth a try I guess. Tongue

Labor's February ticket was definitely an RPP reboot. Smiley

And I can see Maxwell, maybe even Matt, being Snowguy voters.
