iirc, isn't Bhutan already far ahead of the others in doing so, though it hasn't done so yet?

A court has ordered the Nepalese government to include marriage equality in their new constitution. However, said constitution is nowhere close to even being written.

I voted for Taiwan, FWIW.

Taiwan, followed by either Nepal or Israel, then Thailand.

Very interesting. It is also because of the court that I think India should be one of the contenders (though I am not sure how big the movement is in the other countries listed). While SSM isn't likely very popular with the Indian public, I can totally see the Supreme Court of India make it legal, though the weird way marriage laws are governed in India make it a bit complicated. I would like nothing more than if the Supreme court made Muslims accept SSM. That would be absolutely hilarious. As for India as a whole, I don't think it would be as big of a deal as some people may think. People would oppose it, but it wouldn't be something there would be a powerful organized opposition to, like you see (saw?) in America.

For what it's worth, the Philippines is surprisingly tolerant of gays.

South Korea is surprisingly intolerant for its per capita GDP, and for its stereotype of being more socially cosmopolitan than Japan.

The Philippines. No matter how Christian it is, as a Filipino, the gay community there is incredibly visible and accepted in the mainstream (the provinces are another story, unfortunately).

So are people voting for Nepal just because the Supreme Court has asked for marriage equality in the new constitution?

Isn't it already legal, just not on demand?

Thailand
Some Japanese lawmakers say "a child by a mistress should not be treated equal to other children". To say honestly, they are living in medieval era.
I think China will legalize faster than Japan.

SS couples can marry abroad and have their marriage approved by a court in Israel, with most rights hetro couples will recieve. Still, the point is they can't wed here.
